Description
Pravana ChromaSilk Pastels is an ultra-modern hair color designed to give long-lasting, vibrant, pastel color. You can use Vivids Clear also to soften or lighten any shade for ultimate color customization and black is also available to deepen and darken any shade.
Ingredients
Water (Aqua/Eau), Cetyl Alcohol, Lanolyn Alcohol, Cetearth-20, Propylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Ethyl Ester of Hydrolyzed Silk, Sodium Sulfite, Simethicone, EDTA, Fragrance (Parfum). May also contain: Basic blue 9 (CI 52105), basic yellow 57 (CI 12719), basic violet 14 (CI 42510), basic orange 31 (CI 20050), basic red 2 (CI 50240), basic red 51.
How to Use
Our BPS beauty advisors recommend the following steps: 1. Pre-lighten hair using PRAVANA Pure Light Power Lightener to the desired level. For purity of VIVIDS color, follow the chart provided and pre-lighten hair to the level indicated for each shade. If hair is lightened beyond the recommended guideline, color transfer may occur 2. Before applying VIVIDS, hair must be freshly shampooed and completely dried 3. Taking sections, apply color directly to the hair, ensure complete and even coverage. No developer is needed. 4. Allow to process for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. Once the processing is complete, lightly shampoo with VIVIDS Color Protect and rinse with cool water until the water runs clear. Apply VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner and rinse. Style as desired.

All pastels are so light

This is the 4th lilac pastel I've used in the past month since I bleached my hair Platinum white in preparation for depositing purple pastel. It was probably 2nd to pulp riot lilac. It hardly went on at all but is more of a silver almost bluish light color. It actually looks kind of pretty, especially with my dark blue ends but like any other pastel dye, it just does not go on well and is not bright at all.

I decided to try Pravana because a teammate of mine used it and had amazing results. She didn't use pastels though so I had no idea these would be different (it was also 3 years ago). So I bought one tube of Pretty in Pink for my son's half and half, and two tubes of Luscious Lavender for my entire head. It. Was. Awful. I've been doing hair for 24 years, I've had and done pastels before. I'm not sure exactly what happened but even with protein filler, it only took to certain parts of our hair and we both had level 9.5 blonde. I processed like I always do and I'm meticulous with Vivids. The Pravana lightener & developer were amazing and totally worth the money. I don't know if the formula is different or what, but these were the crappiest results I've ever had and I'm worried now bc I have 4 other colors (not pastels) I'm supposed to use on his friends. They're all my Pravana guinea pigs, but I still want them to have good hair. Beauty Plus, on the other hand, is fantastic. My new go to beauty supplier!

I use the too cute coral over my golden blonde and it gives the sweetest rosy pink tone. My hairstylist used this on me first and I loved both the color and how silky it makes my hair! The color doesn’t stay very long, as is typical with soft pastel color on not totally bleached hair so I mix it half and half with conditioner for upkeep.
