Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids Violet is a professional semi-permanent hair color that goes directly onto hair! No mixing or ratios to worry about! This lush purple shade will give dark hair a plumy cast in natural light and will show as a vibrant bright purple. Vivids show up best on pre-lightened hair, although is not necessary if you do not want a bright, vibrant color and want to stay subtle. Made with Hydrolyzed Keratin and Silk protiens help strengthen and give the hair more shine.
Our Beauty Advisors Recommend wearing old clothes or a cape when applying Pravana Vivids to avoid staining. If you want your haircolor to be bright, your hair must be a level 9 (light blonde) for those results. We highly suggest visiting one of our salons or your stylist if you need to lighten your hair. This will ensure minimal damange, although you could do it at home. Section the hair into 4 sections and start at the front hair line. Take smaller sections from your previously made sections and apply color root to ends. Repeat this to each section and let sit for 30 minutes in room tempeture. Rinse with lukewarm water and condition.

Pravana is the only color that stays so long in my hair. After weeks I get compliments on the vibrance. Please note when using these colors bleaching your hair to reach optimal results is a must. Color deposits on natural hair but def doesn’t look vibrant. Lightning is needed.

Been using pravana for 10+ years now. I dont lighten my hair as its white. Mostly use blue with a bit of black and silver added in. Ive been streaking the top with violet lately for a punch. Roots get colored, but fads out quickly. I was told its because its virgin hair. Still contains some oil. I love how it slowly fades out giving me different color. Dark to light blue.

This is my first time using this product, but I like it so far. The color looks good, makes my hair soft and smells good. I was warned it may make my hair too purple, but it covers my grey/highlighted hair well and leaves it nice and silver.

New Formula Not Good

I've been using this product for years in the color Green, and since the formula has changed the color has too. Straight out of the tube it is a denim blue color. Luckily I applied this to hair that was already a washed out shamrock green color and only left it on for about 25 minutes before rinsing, and it turned into an emerald green on the verge of teal. If I had applied this to blonde hair it would have turned out a deep blue color. If I left the color on for longer it would have turned a deep teal on the green hair. I do not recommend this product, and only added a star because of the strength of the dye.

I've tried many dyes. This time I decided to try Pravana at the recommendation of a friend. Boy was she right! This dye stays in your hair, doesn't stain anything and stays bright for weeks! I'm on week 8 and hair is still bright!! Highly recommend this dye. Going to do rainbow hair next. Will see how all those colors do weeks after application. Can't wait
